How much do security grilles cost in London?

Fixed or retractable — which should I choose?
Fixed for windows nobody will ever climb out of — basements, light wells, outbuildings. Retractable for patio doors, French doors and anything on an escape route, because they fold away when you are home and must open from inside. The survey gives you a straight answer per opening.
Can I put a grille on my bedroom window?
Only a retractable one with a quick-release that opens from inside without a key. A window someone may need to escape through must never be caged shut — that is the one rule we will not bend, whatever a cheaper quote offers.
Do grilles help with insurance?
Often, particularly for shopfronts and basement flats where insurers see the most claims — some policies price for approved physical security, and a few require it in higher-risk postcodes. Check your own policy wording; we provide written detail of what was fitted for your insurer.
My grille is stuck or the lock has seized. Can you repair it?
Yes — seized tracks, stiff folding gear and failed grille locks are a normal week's work for us. A grille that is annoying to use ends up left open, which is worse than no grille, so a servicing visit is worth it.
My shop's grille was forced overnight. How fast can you come?

Will a grille make my flat look like a fortress?
